Mini Putt Walkthrough

Mini Putt is an absolute classic in the world of online golf games. The real beauty of this golf game is its simplicity. The graphics could not be more basic. The controls are easy to use and understand. The goal of the game is pretty simple too. Finish all eighteen holes in the game with as few strokes as possible. If you can beat par on every hole, you'll be in great shape at the end of the game. Often times, beating par - or at least making par - isn't all that difficult. Other times though, it can be quite challenging thanks to the variety of obstacles you'll have to face. Your golf game skills really don't have to be exemplary to make it through this one, but knowing about the angles you need to hit to get the ball to go where you want it to go and how much strength you need to have behind your stroke certainly won't hurt when you're trying to make it under par.

The real challenge of Mini Putt for newcomers to golf games lies in learning from your mistakes. In a lot of cases, a missed shot can be a great chance to learn more about how the game is played. Take note of the angle you used for your shot as well as the power you used behind the shot. Then look at where the ball ended up. If the ball rolled over the hole without going in, you used to much power in your stroke. Remember that the next time you are faced with a similar situation. You don't need a lot of power for short range shots. If you're close to the hole, a little power should be all you need. If you missed the hole completely, it's likely an angle problem or, alternatively, a problem with one of the obstacles. As you play, you'll learn more about what different obstacles do. Some will slow your ball down. Once you get the hang of the obstacles, the angles and the power, you should be able to do fine.

The most challenging obstacle you'll face in Mini Putt is the windmill. The windmill not only requires you to find the right angle and the right amount of power to get your ball to the hole, but also requires you to time the shot exactly to avoid the blades of the windmill. The best way to get through the windmill hole under par is to line your shot up and then carefully watch the blades. Take your shot just as one blade is passing the opening in the windmill. That gives your ball time to reach the windmill as the first blade clears but before the next blade comes along. For more experienced players it won't be all that hard, but newcomers mind find it hard to make par on this one. The final hole is also extremely difficult. The key to making it through the eighteenth hole is really patience. Frustration is your enemy. You need to find the perfect angle and the perfect strength to make it through this one, so be careful. Experience players and newcomers alike are going to have a hard time with this one and getting par is difficult. If you came in under par on every other hole, going a few over par on this one won't hurt your score all that much.

Overall, Mini Putt is a classic and for good reason. This golf game is simple yet entertaining; not relying on fancy graphics or a complicated series of obstacles to make things more difficult. Instead, this game is all about having fun with the course. More experienced players are likely going to find the bulk of the holes a bit too easy, but the more difficult ones more than make up for that. Newcomers to golf games will have trouble in the beginning but will improve significantly as they progress in the game. If you are new to golf games and find yourself finishing with a less than stellar score, play again. You'll see a huge improvement between your first and second scores simply because you've benefited from the experience you gained the first time around. If you're a fan of golf games, this is one you need to play at least once. It's far too much fun to pass up.
