St. Mulligan's 3-Putt Walkthrough
So you are quite bored or perhaps intimidated by the more serious golf games out there like Tiger Woods PGA Tour, Microsoft Golf, or Links 2003? Want something that is challenging BUT not as serious? Well, you are in for a treat: St. Mulligan's 3-Putt golf game is yours for the taking!
A great looking 3D and flash version of golf, it's easy to find yourself spending hours and hours playing St. Mulligan's 3-Putt. There are 3 game modes to choose from: (1) You can go for a single player and 9-hole golf game. (2) If you are in it for the long haul, you can play the 18-hole version of the single player mode. (3) And last BUT not the least, there's the multi-player mode where you can play against friends. Although, you need to play on the same computer.
After selecting your game mode, you are taken to the character selection screen where there are 4 players to choose from:
(1) St. Mulligan, the guy with a halo, is the main character in this game. With a club and ball, I think he's the golf saint in this game.
(2) Next to him is Waghorn. As you can tell, this guy is from the underworld... BUT to his credit, he's the only one who can speak understandably in this game ("You have no idea who you're dealing with!"). The others either don't or speak so fast you won't understand a thing.
(3) Up next is Jimmy. Judging from his looks, I think he's from Scotland, and he speaks really fast (no racism intended folks). "So hurry up before the glass is ruined," (?) I'm not too sure what on earth he is talking about! Anyway, Jimmy isn't your average golfer. He doesn't use putters or drivers. He uses a sword to play the game.
(4) And lastly, we have Bumbard - a golf-playing bee. Man, last time I checked, scientists are unable to explain how bees can fly despite their small wings, now we have a bee that plays golf! Another mystery for science I suppose.
Anyway, after starting the game, you are immediately taken to the game - a small portion of a golf course that is floating for some mysterious reason. The objective is pretty standard: you need to sink that ball to the hole in as few strokes as possible. Standard indeed, BUT getting to that goal requires some non-standard and radical thinking.
Why? Well, have you ever played on a golf course that is L-shaped and floating? That alone is non standard! What about tossing some pile of rocks here and there for added challenge and difficulty? Or if that's not enough, why not add some puddles of mud and water... and a ramp, too? I don't know about you BUT I have never seen a normal golf course that has those (except for mud and water maybe).
And get this: those are just some of the obstacles that you will find in this golf game St. Mulligan's 3-Putt! If you are looking for a challenging game of golf, this game will keep your hands full. Now, onto playing the game, it's easy. You need to use your mouse as I have said: (1) Start off by moving your mouse. This will set the direction for your shot. (2) Next, you need to determine the power of your shot. You need to move or drag the ball away from the mouse. The more you drag it away, the stronger your shot will get. By the way, the direction is indicated by a red line and the percentage, which is just right below the ball, represents the amount of power.
So how many shots or strokes will it take for you to finish St. Mulligan's 3-Putt? There's only one way to find out - play the game! And believe me, if you are into any sort or form of golf, if you want something that's fun and challenging at the same time, or if you want to see a demon, angel, a Scottish swordsman, or a bumble bee play golf, St. Mulligan's 3-Putt will surely whet your appetite!
